RBC Wealth Management: 2023 Diamond Sponsor

From the national office to the local branch of RBC Wealth Management, it’s clear that connection to the communities where employees live and work maters. A highly relational institution, RBC Wealth Management collaborates with clients to tailor a strategic plan for your complex needs and goals. In 2020, creating positive change for a better future included $4.5 million in donations to over 900 unique organizations, and more than 3,500 hours in time volunteered by employees. The Seattle Office of RBC Wealth Management is no exception, but only a continued bright example of meaningful community support.

Children remain a critical core area of impact for the Seattle Office. Their partnerships include organizations such as Boyer’s Children Clinic, Alliance for Education, Center for Children & Youth Justice, and of course, Family Law CASA. Mike Geri, Financial advisor and Managing Director of the Seattle Office, shared that the firm narrows scope of support to where individual employees are engaged and giving of their time. The branch emphasizes acts of service including using human capital to go above and beyond direct financial support. The office regularly holds food and clothing drives, and engages with Dress for Success, a global organization focused on providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Over 10 years ago, Geri attended his first Family Law CASA Breakfast with Founder, Alden Garrett. He was impressed by the volunteer advocates and their work for local children. Geri noted, “I found it one of the more powerful breakfasts that you go to, that you need to bring your own Kleenex as they tell their story of the trials and tributes and successes that they had in their life because of CASA.” Rebecca Stephens, Financial advisor and Vice President of the Seattle Office, underscored the critical nature of advocacy for children under five years. A safe and healthy environment is key for their education and socio-emotional development as they grow. Regarding their work with children broadly, Stephens reflected, “If we’re successful at this work, then a child is placed in a situation where they are thriving, where they are healthy, where they are well-supported, and that just sets them on a path for success in the future.”
