The Community Advisory Board represents individuals and communities with lived and learned experience in family court and adjacent systems. Insight from those most affected by generational trauma and systemic disservice in the legal system is essential to shaping equitable, focused programming at Family Law CASA.

Our Community Advisory Board

Family Law CASA supports children and families who are navigating family court and the challenges that come with it. We provide free advocacy for children in custody disputes and work to make the court process more fair, accessible, and centered on their needs. We also focus on long‑term change by listening to families, learning from community experience, and improving how systems respond to those most affected by economic injustice and inequity.

The Community Advisory Board brings together community members who understand family court through lived experience and professional work. Members share an essential insight that strengthens our ability to reduce childhood trauma, disrupt systemic harm, and support families in building better futures.

Stipend

Board members receive $1,000 annually for their participation, and childcare during meetings and/or the annual retreat.

Commitment

Board members commit to a 1-Year term. Members attend monthly meetings (hybrid) throughout the year, including an in‑person annual retreat.
